Volunteer at Hope House in New Prague
Hope House is an evening and Saturday shelter in New Prague for up to four homeless Scott/Carver County families during designated times of the year. Volunteers are welcome to help with meal preparation, providing household items, and cleaning. For further information: Hope House
Donate to the Peace Center
The Peace Center is a food distribution center serving individuals in New Prague and the surrounding area. Founded in 1983 and located on the campus of Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague, Peace Center serves the community by helping nearly 5,000 individuals per year with their everyday needs. The Peace Center relies on area businesses and individuals for food and monetary donations. Individuals, churches, and civic organizations have been extremely generous over the years with donations to help those who need an occasional helping hand.
Walk-ins are welcome at the Peace Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Thursday evenings from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information: Peace Center.
